Goin' to the chapel (and we already got married): Family Photos

Hey there,

Yesterday an exciting event occurred (no it wasn't me getting a job. Sad story). I went out to the sun room to grab a drink, and there was totally a squirrel out there. The squirrel and I made eye contact, and I was like "hey squirrel, what's up?" (literally, I said that out loud) and he stood there for a second looking at me, and then slowly walked out. He didn't run or seem scared, he just casually left. Wouldn't you know, I didn't have a camera available when the incident occurred, so I took the liberty of photo shopping a similarly sized and colored squirrel exactly where the real one stood.

Again, totally photo shopped. This is just to help people understand better.

We also decided to do part of our weekly grocery shopping at the DeKalb Farmer's Market yesterday. We expected a small, outdoor type set up, but instead we discovered a huge grocery store with tons of different vendors. For some reason there are strict rules against photography at the farmer's market, so we didn't get any pictures of the market itself. We only bought a few things (it was more of a look around adventure for us) but the things we did get were reasonably priced and [so far] delicious.

I recently read that peaches are one of the most pesticided pieces of produce around, so if you were to only buy one fruit organic, it should be the peach. I was hoping to get some organic Georgia peaches to try, but they only had peaches from CA and NC. I found it odd that in Georgia there were no Georgia peaches to be had, but I bought some California peaches and I'm sure they'll be tasty. My favorite things we bought were the strawberries.

Probably the most perfect strawberry I've ever seen.

Thomas works all day Tuesdays, so I try to get lots done. Today I did alll the laundry, met with our landlady, wrote some thank you notes, and went to Walmart. While doing laundry, I discovered my new favorite way to dry things.

I've made fun of my neighbors for hanging all their laundry on a line. I still refuse to hang every sheet and blanket in my house like they do, but this worked really well.

For today's wedding recap post, I'm focusing on the family photos that were taken on our big day. Tomorrow I'll be showing you the ceremony details, and the next day will be the ceremony. Finally! (Note: unless otherwise mentioned, all photos below were taken by our friends at Cinderella Photography).

My dad and I waited on this bench hidden out of sight until it was time for me to come in.

This is one of our absolute favorite pictures from the whole wedding. The benefit of having a small ceremony was that we were able to involve each guest, and the photographer could fit every single person in attendance in one picture. Now you'll never be able to deny that you were (or weren't?) there!

I loved that Thomas' entire family was coordinated! They all looked great together.

My family also accidentally coordinated in the red/purple family.
Riojas cousins.

Mahan cousins.

"Speed"cousins (even though there's only one Speed cousin left).

And to close...
